Simply Canvas Farm is a warm, peaceful place in southwestern France (Dordogne / near Bergerac) where nature, comfort, and group activities come together. With our many years of experience hosting retreats (including mindfulness, meditation, yoga, writing, gardening, and dance), we’d be happy to work with you to plan your event.
The surroundings play a major role in creating peace and serenity. They help participants let go and focus fully on their inner journey.
Here you’ll find silence, space, and a landscape of rolling hills. The food is delicious, the hammocks sway gently, and in the group space, nature and group work come together. We provide the right environment and facilities so that you, as the facilitator, can focus entirely on the group.

There are several options: sharing accommodations, setting up single rooms, and for those on a tighter budget or larger groups, people can also bring their own tent or minivan.

CAPACITY
- Accommodations: usually around 30 people (a mix of single, double, and quad rooms) and personal tents/vans
- With meals included, we can accommodate up to 40–45 people (some people may then sleep in the immediate vicinity for large retreats)
- Groups typically range from 8 to 20 people.
GROUP ROOMS & MATERIALS
- Large group room (zendo) measuring 60 m2
- Rectangular group room measuring 50 m² (this is also where we eat on the rare rainy days)
- A smaller 20 m² room in a vacation home for massages, one-on-one sessions, or small groups.
- Yoga mats and meditation cushions are provided for 25 people. The floor in the large group space is also suitable for dancing.
ACCESSIBILITY
We are easily accessible by car, train, or plane.
- By plane: from Rotterdam to Bergerac (about 30 minutes from us), Bordeaux (about 1.5 hours from us)
- Train: Take the TGV to Bordeaux, then continue to Sainte-Foy-la-Grande (about 15 minutes from us)
- Car: 1,100 km from Utrecht.
We work with a local partner who can arrange transfers to our location.
