Terms and Conditions of Simply Canvas Farm
- General
These terms and conditions apply to all bookings and services provided by Simply Canvas Farm, located at 748 Chemin du Charrier, 47120 Saint Jean de Duras. By making a booking, you agree to these terms and conditions. - Reservation and Payment
2.1. A reservation is considered final upon receipt of a confirmation email and a deposit, which may vary depending on the retreat.
2.2. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 4-6 weeks before arrival. - Changes to the Reservation
3.1. Changes to the reservation can always be made free of charge in consultation, provided availability allows.
3.2. No refunds will be issued for changes resulting in a later arrival or earlier departure.
3.3. For changes involving an upgrade to a more expensive accommodation or additional nights, the difference in the total amount will be charged. - Cancellation Policy
We understand there can always be reasons for cancellation. Below are our cancellation terms:
4.1. For cancellations made more than 16 weeks before arrival, a €50 administrative fee will be charged.
4.2. For cancellations between 8 and 16 weeks before arrival, 25% of the total rental amount is non-refundable.
4.3. For cancellations between 4 and 8 weeks before arrival, 50% of the total rental amount is non-refundable.
4.4. For cancellations within 4 weeks of arrival, 100% of the rental amount is non-refundable.
4.5. Cancellations must be made by email. We strongly recommend taking out cancellation and travel insurance (be sure to check the terms of your policy). - Liability
5.1. Simply Canvas Farm is not liable for personal injury, loss, damage to property, or other costs arising from participation in our retreats unless caused by intent or gross negligence.
5.2. You are responsible for any damage caused by yourself or your travel companions to the property, inventory, or surroundings of the retreat center. - House Rules
6.1. Bringing pets is not allowed without prior permission from Simply Canvas Farm.
6.2. Smoking is prohibited inside the retreat center’s buildings.
6.3. Respect the peace of other guests by avoiding noise after 10:00 PM.
6.4. Loud music is not permitted; please bring headphones.
6.5. Please bring your own pool towels. - Force Majeure
7.1. Simply Canvas Farm is not responsible for being unable to fulfill the agreement due to force majeure, such as natural disasters, pandemics, government measures, etc.
7.2. Simply Canvas Farm is not liable for theft or loss on the premises. - Complaints
8.1. Complaints must be reported during the stay to allow Simply Canvas Farm the opportunity to resolve them on-site.
8.2. If the complaint is not resolved satisfactorily, it must be submitted in writing within 14 days of departure. - Privacy
9.1. Your personal data will only be used to process the reservation or inform you about our retreats and will not be shared with third parties unless necessary for the services provided. - No Debit or Credit Card Facilities
10.1. We do not have debit or credit card facilities; additional consumptions or nights must be paid in cash at the end of your stay. - Reservation of Specific Tents or Rooms
11.1. Each of our accommodations has its own charm and unique decor. While you can indicate a preference at the time of booking, we may need to assign a different accommodation due to bookings in the preceding and following weeks. - Arrival and Departure
Tents and gîtes are ready for you from 4:00 PM on the day of arrival. We kindly ask that you depart after breakfast on the day of departure, no later than 10:00 AM. Any deviations must be discussed with Simply Canvas Farm in advance. - Security Deposit and Damage
Simply Canvas Farm does not require a security deposit and relies on your honesty to inform us of any damages. The costs will need to be reimbursed. Major damages can always be claimed through your own liability insurance. - Mental Well-being and Personal Responsibility
14.1. Participation in our retreats, including wellness, meditation, and yoga activities, is at your own responsibility. Simply Canvas Farm does not provide therapeutic, medical, or psychological support.
14.2. If you feel mentally or emotionally overwhelmed during the retreat, we encourage you to communicate this to the retreat facilitators. While we strive to provide a safe and supportive environment, we are not qualified to offer in-depth therapeutic interventions.
14.3. In cases of severe mental or emotional difficulties during the retreat, we may recommend seeking professional help outside the retreat. Any associated costs are the participant’s responsibility.
14.4. By participating in the retreat, you confirm that you are capable of joining the activities offered without the need for direct medical or psychological supervision. If you have concerns about your mental health prior to the retreat, we advise discussing these with a medical or psychological professional before attending.
